My gifted Joan

In all our prayers, Irving and I always pray for Joan’s health
We ask for God’s blessing upon her body so that everything will function perfectly
Sometimes Irving led the prayer and sometimes I do
There were times when I led the prayer
And when I start praying for Joan my tears dropped
And I just keep saying things like:

“Oh Lord, Please open Joan’s eyes and let her see
Oh Lord, Please make her hands and feet move perfectly
Oh Lord, Please make her brain grows and improves
Oh Lord, Please make her ears to hear well
Oh Lord, Please make her able to say “Mama” and “Papa”
Oh Lord, Please make her can drink her milk without throwing out”

I just keep asking and I start to cry because when I say it I realize how much Joan already misses
I try so hard to end the prayer

“Oh Lord, I do not know whether I will be able to take a good care of Joan all the way…..”

After the prayer, usually Irving and I try to keep our faith and stop the tears
By remembering what God already gave to Joan and to us

He gave a chance for Joan to be alive and healthy
He made Joan able to suck her bottle and drink and eat
He made Joan gains weight
He made Joan smiles once in a while
He made Joan’s legs move more each day
He made Joan moves her head left and right
He made Joan able to cry with many different ways
He made Joan sounds more and more of her baby talks
He made Joan listens better

And amongst all, He change Irving and I to be better “inside” through our little Joan
He made Irving and I to be brave and think positively
He made Irving and I hold hands-in-hands each day
He made Irving and I to become more patient
He made Irving and I to become closer to God
He made Irving and I to keep our faith on God’s will

Thanks Joan,
With all your uniqueness you already fill Mom’s and Dad’s days
With all your minuses you already teach Mom’s and Dad’s to keep our faith
With all your sickness we can see you try hard to please Mom’s and Dad’s

Once I asked Irving, is there I limit for being patient
When sometimes we just cannot take it
He answered to me that if there is a limit for being patient then God will never ask us to be patient all the time
When sometimes we just cannot take it anymore, just take it to the Lord

Amazing Lord!
